Confirmed Booking Cancelled Late at Night Negative: We booked two nights at 6pm while travelling because the friend we were meant to stay with went into early labour. The booking was accepted and full payment was taken immediately. After booking, we made several attempts to obtain check-in instructions. Instead of providing them, we were asked personal questions about why we were travelling and the purpose of our stay. The booking had already been accepted and paid for, their role is to provide the accommodation at that point, not ask personal questions when they have already entered a contractual agreement. At 9:30pm, the reservation was cancelled without explanation or apology, leaving us without accommodation late at night. We were travelling with a pet as they advertise pet friendly, and after eight hours on the road there were virtually no options available at that hour. We ended up sleeping in our car on the side of the road. After more than an hour dealing with Booking.com, we were told we would need to pay upfront again for alternative accommodation while waiting 10–12 days for the original refund to be processed. No immediate credit or practical solution was offered. If last-minute bookings are an issue for Estelle, (the accommodation provider), availability settings should reflect that. Accepting payment and cancelling late at night left us in an extremely difficult, unsafe and completely avoidable position.

Loved that we could bring our dog, Estelle and Lola were very helpful and informative made our stay easy and enjoyable Positive: Beautiful large apartment style unit, so much bigger in person than photos. It was gorgeous!! We absolutely loved it!! Lovely balcony with cute seating to enjoy at any time of day or night. All facilities were fantastic!

Very pleasant stay 😊 Positive: Lovely and clean with cute decor - appliances exceptionally clean with manuals easy to locate - provider very easy to contact and responsive through the Booking.com app - great location Negative: Block out blinds perhaps in the lounge room as the eastern sun very harsh and bright making TV difficult to see
